State Representative Ed Gaffney waved to the crowd during the 29th annual Grosse Pointe Santa Parade November 26, 2004.

Mayors of the five Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods in their horse drawn carriage led the way for Santa during the annual parade on Kercheval in Grosse Pointe. The event was sponsored by the Grosse Pointe Village Association with the cooperation of the HiIl Association.

Demonstrating all the skill of veteran politicians, these parading Redford Unicyclists maneuvered through pressing crowds, maintained their balance, and remained alert to protect their back sides.

Presenting Santa with the key to the community were mayors of the Pointes and Harper Woods. Santa's greetings from the North Pole launched the traditional start of the 2004 Christmas shopping season.
