The 7:30 p.m. forum is open to the public and will be held at The War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms. There is no charge to attend.

At the Michigan think tank, Delie heads research, development and promotion of labor reforms through studies, media relations and legislative testimony. He also serves as a policy advisor for Workers for Opportunity and the My Pay My Say initiative.

“As an attorney and labor policy director, we look forward to hearing from Mr. Delie about Whitmer administration efforts to roll back Michigan’s competitive status as a Right to Work state,” commented Eastside Republican Club chairman Mike Vethacke in advance of the meeting.

Vethacke added, “We invite anyone interested in the current battle to retain Michigan’s edge as a freedom-to-work state to attend.”

Forum doors open at 7 p.m. for coffee and networking in advance of the meeting.

Delie also leads the Center’s government transparency efforts as its director of transparency and open government using his expertise in dealing with Freedom of Information Act matters.

A Hillsdale College graduate, Delie was a member of Hillsdale’s George Washington Fellowship program, a competitive fellowship awarded for outstanding academic achievement, leadership and interest in public service.

Following college, Delie earned a degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude. At MSU, Delie served as Associate Editor of the MSU Law Review. As a student, he worked for former Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Young, as well as for the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Virginia.

After admission to the bar in 2015, Delie entered private practice, specializing in employment, labor, municipal and contract law.

Delie enjoys camping, reading video games and is a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan.
